Dr. Bobby Koneru
Director of Integrative Oncology and Functional Medicine
Dr. Bobby Koneru is board certified Radiation Oncologist. He did his training at Northwestern University and fellowship training at Baylor University in Dallas. He is the CEO and President of Paramount Oncology Group which, over the past 10 years, has provided leading edge cancer services to Dubuque, IA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Davenport, IA; Galena, IL; Freeport, IL and Dixon, IL.
Dr. Koneru completed Mind Body Medicine training at the Herb Benson institute of Mind Body Medicine at Harvard University, Boston. He is currently adjunct faculty at Loyola University in Chicago. Dr. Koneru’s passion is to provide evidence-based medicine for both cancer patients and those interested in longevity by using both proven conventional medical treatments as well complementary therapies.
The Galena MedSpa will be the first clinic in the region offering physician based integrative oncology services.

Melissa Kindred is a board-certified Registered Nurse. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Dubuque majoring in Nursing and Psychology. Over the past decade she has worked as a floor nurse in both the medical and surgical settings. Most recently she served as a Nursing Director for a Retirement and Memory Care Community. She has always been passionate about caring for patients with a holistic approach. She is the President of The Kindred Spirit Inc., and for the past 7 years, has provided holistic and integrative health coaching services to patients and businesses throughout Jo Daviess County.
Melissa completed a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Holistic Nursing Concentration at Tennesse State University in Nashville. She is completing a Post-Master's Certificate Adult- Gerontology Nurse Practitioner at Spring Arbor University in Michigan.

Melissa is passionate about providing a holistic and integrative approach to her nursing practice that is evidence-based and results driven. She is certified in aromatherapy, chromotherapy, cryotherapy, herbology, and is a Usui Reiki Master Teacher.

Carla Heiser has over 20 years of clinical experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition with an emphasis in Nutritional Biochemistry from New York Medical College.

She is Board Certified in Nutritional and Metabolic Medicine and is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine. Ms. Heiser is the Founder of Precise Health Solutions, an Integrative Medical and Advanced Nutrition private practice. Ms. Heiser specializes in women’s, men’s, and children’s health from a nutrient and metabolism perspective. Blending advanced nutrition with medical approaches to optimize health outcomes is the hallmark of her clinical practice approaches. Teaching is a passion as she continually aspires to translate forward-thinking and research approaches into practical, ‘can do’ strategies. Ms. Heiser is a frequent invited speaker at national meetings and has published research in the areas of diet effects and antioxidants in heart and chronic disease. Ms. Heiser practices in medical offices and clinics developing patient-centered nutritional programs by working in partnership with physicians, pharmacists, care coordinators, and patients to optimize therapies.

Lori Varas has recently joined Ms. Heiser in her practice after Co-founding Wholistic Nutrition, a functional medicine practice and coaching school. Lori is a chemist with experience in environmental contamination and remediation of soil, water, and air. Her background, together with her nutritional knowledge, make Precise Health Solutions a wonderful fit for identifying and cleaning contamination from people’s bodies and keeping it clean by informed selections of nutrient-rich food. With a kind heart and commitment to helping people live their best life, Lori is here to assist in a multitude of ways, from lab testing to nutrition coaching, prepping and cooking delicious easy meals. Lori is here to assist in person and virtually to support your goals.
